With a productivity increase of +50% compared to current standards, CCM64MD achieves a production performance never seen before: up to 2,850 capsules per minute, or 171,000 caps per hour, with only 64 molds. With this very high capacity, a single CCM64MD satisfies two of the fastest bottling lines on the market (80,000 bottles/hour)CCM64MD reduces specific energy consumption by 15% compared to previous generations of CCMs, which were already market leaders in this area. This manufacturer's new benchmark is 0.43 kWh/kg, which, in terms of emissions, corresponds to the saving of 8 tons of CO₂ equivalent every year with the same production. The specific torque density reaches 15 Nm/cm³, with a maximum screw speed of 900 rpm. A commercial vehicle air tank co-created with WAL Low Carbon Technology (Anhui) Co. Ltd (WAL) and made with BASF's high-performance material solution Ultramid® polyamide. The innovative solution achieves a weight reduction of 10-20% compared to aluminum alternatives and over 50% compared to steel versions. Production of the air tank is also more energy efficient, since it only needs a one-piece injection molding process. This eliminates the need for secondary welding operations that are typically required for metal versions. Combined with its high burst pressure resistance above 50 bar (5MPa), the solution demonstrates consistent product quality and reliability in this demanding application.
